Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

This position is for 2nd shift Mon‑Thurs 1:30 p‑12 a. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility and manufacturing equipment to ensure departments operate in accordance with FDA regulatory requirements as well as company procedures and policies.
Essential Responsibilities- Service heaters and air conditioners when necessary.
- Maintain lighting by installing and repairing wiring and fixtures.
- Maintain plumbing systems by replacing piping and cleaning drains.
- Inform appropriate personnel of unusual conditions, problems, deficiencies, and safety hazards.
- Assist in performing equipment preventative maintenance. Properly report the activities done on equipment.

- Travel between facilities as required.
- Assemble and install equipment.
- Participate in special projects to improve manufacturing processes.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment, repairs, overhauls and replacements.
- Work with Maintenance Lead and Supervisor to resolve manufacturing maintenance issues.
- Assist with new Maintenance Technician orientation and hands‑on training.
- Effectively work, interact, and communicate with co‑workers and lead/supervisor.
- Demonstrate professional behavior while working in a team approach to managing challenging situations.
- Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to perform necessary duties.
- Previous or similar work experience is preferred.
- Must be organized and able to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
- Must be able to work overtime when the company deems it necessary.
- Must be able to wear the necessary, job‑related personal protective equipment.
- Ability to lift (up to 50‑lbs), stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, stretch, step, climb occasionally during the duration of the shift.
- Proficient in use of basic hand tools and power tools is preferred, but not essential.
