Packaging Department Lead

Responsibilities

• Assist the Packaging Supervisor by ensuring daily packaging objectives are achieved and departments are running efficiently.
• Ensure all packaging activities are compliant with cGMPs, SOPs, and safety policies.
• Review and verify that all packaging documents are completed in accordance with Company/FDA policies and procedures.
• Work directly and support all personnel to ensure departmental success.
• Assist with difficult machine troubleshooting.
• Assist with equipment repair and/or replacement.
• Alert the Packaging Supervisor of quality issues and assist with QA investigations and corrective actions.
• Approve new employee training completion and certification (where applicable).
• Monitor and provide the Packaging Supervisor with training progress reports.
• Work with the Packaging Supervisor to resolve packaging issues and assist with resolution implementation.
• Maintain a professional and safe work environment.
• Effectively work, interact and communicate with co-workers and lead/supervisor.
• Demonstrate professional behavior while working in a team approach when managing challenging situations.
• Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
