QC Microbiologist

This position is responsible for performing routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-

process bulk and finished products accuracy and compliance with established test methods, SOPs, safety guidelines and

adherence to ISO 17025:2017 requirements.

Test raw materials, stability samples and finished products for pathogens (E. coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus)

• - Determine counts for Yeast & Mold (TYMC) and the Total Aerobic Microbial Count (TAMC)
• - Test for Aflatoxins and probiotic viability
• - Document routine maintenance on instruments (GENE Up, TEMPO instruments, BAX, etc.)
• - Execute general Lab testing such as DT, pH, moisture, etc.
• - Ensure that the annual qualification and calibration of Micro instruments is performed
• - Assist in maintaining inventory and documentation (SDS, Certificates of Analysis, etc) for consumables, reagents, kits,
• etc.
• - Adhere to all Biosafety practices and regulations.
• - Assist in Environmental monitoring testing
• - Prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• - Communicate effectively regarding testing status, results, and technical concerns
• - Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and data integrity standards
• - Perform other related duties as assigned
