As a Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree, you will engage in on‑the‑job training to learn how to manage the profitable operations of your assigned store. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

• Recruiting and hiring store associates to serve our customers
• Fostering the growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising, while coaching and correcting as needed
• Overseeing and delegating all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
• Performing opening and closing procedures as required
• Implementing operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters
• Helping the store reach its maximum profit contribution
• Protecting company assets
• Maintaining a high level of customer service across the store
• Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders

• Minimum 3 years of prior retail management experience (preferred)
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience is a plus
• Strong productivity management in freight processing (required)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills (required)
• Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment (required)
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting (required, with reasonable accommodation available)
