• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves, as well as clean, fill, and rotate the self‑serve displays. The role requires the ability to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends, and to perform heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods of time.

Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, visual and auditory requirements.
