Job Description & How to Apply Below

Paprika Partners is a boutique financial firm built for a new generation of business owners. The ambitious owner-operators, the diverse founders, and the unconventional builders who deserve the same quality of financial partnership as the big guys. We provide bookkeeping, accounting, advisory, and fractional CFO services for businesses ranging from $2M-$20M in revenue.

We're not a corporate shop. We move fast, we think in systems, we geek out on AI and technology, and we show up as real human beings who genuinely care whether our clients win. Our team is small, deeply collaborative, and building something we're all proud of, and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of that.

The Role

As an Accounting Manager at Paprika Partners, you'll be the financial backbone for a portfolio of owner-operated businesses. The person who keeps the books accurate, the month‑end tight, and clients confident that their numbers actually reflect reality. Founders count on this work to make real decisions, and you'll feel that weight and purpose every day.

Beyond the books, you'll oversee the financial operations that keep businesses running, think accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, and the day-to-day mechanics that owners often don't have the bandwidth to manage on their own.

You'll work directly alongside our lead principals, Senior Accounting Manager, Staff Accountants, and Bookkeepers. We’re a tight‑knit team where standards are high, everyone is in it together, and nothing falls through the cracks.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage multiple client engagements concurrently with strong organization and prioritization
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and financial goals, ensuring a long-term engagement and client retention
  • Provide proactive financial insights, recommendations, and best practices
  • Lead client meetings (monthly/quarterly reviews, financial discussions, etc.)
  • Standardize reporting and documentation across client accounts
  • Re spond to client inquiries in a timely, professional manner, and ensure deadlines are consistently met across all accounts
  • Partner with FP&A teammates to ensure alignment between accounting management and financial reporting
  • Work cross‑functionally with payroll and finance teams to validate assumptions
Accounting & Financial Oversight
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple clients simultaneously
  • Review and/or prepare:
    • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • General ledger reconciliations
    • Journal entries and accruals
    • Cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • Coordinate with in‑house bookkeeper and staff accountants to perform required client services
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial deliverables
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows
  • Leverage technology to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform other job duties, activities or responsibilities as assigned by the needs of the business, with or without notice.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in a client‑facing, multi‑client, or public accounting environment
  • Strong proficiency in GAAP accounting and financial reporting
  • Quick Books Online proficiency required
  • Xero experience is a plus
  • Strong client service and relationship management skills. You’re someone clients trust and want to talk to
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Clear, confident communicator. You can present financial findings to business owners in plain English
  • Detail‑oriented and highly organized. You take pride in clean work and airtight deliverables
  • CPA license or active CPA ambitions is a plus, not required
  • Tech‑forward mindset. You embrace tools and automation that make the work smarter
What Success Looks Like
  • Clients trust you as their primary accounting partner and feel confident in their numbers
  • Month‑end close is tight, on time, and requires minimal rework
  • Financial statements and deliverables are accurate, clean, and ready without a second pass
  • AP, AR, and cash…
