Project Accountant | LHH
The Tone:This is a contract-to-hire or direct-hire Project Accountant role with LHH, located in Roseville, CA. LHH is seeking this position for a great team that operates as a commercial general contractor, specializing in the construction industry. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of projects by ensuring accurate billing, meticulous cost tracking, and timely payments. The Project Accountant directly supports project success through diligent financial management, precise reporting, and compliance with contractual obligations.

Own the accurate financial tracking, precise owner billing, and comprehensive reporting for construction projects, ensuring timely payments, contractual compliance, and supporting overall financial stability. - Tech Stack:

- Billing:
Manage comprehensive project billing cycles, including preparing and submitting owner billings, lien waivers, and all necessary supporting documentation. - Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers to maintain accurate cost tracking and ensure all billing processes are completed on time. - Review:
Examine subcontractor invoices for accuracy and confirm their compliance with established contract terms. - Collections:
Monitor accounts receivable proactively and follow up on any outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow. - Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly project financial reports and contribute to financial forecasting efforts.
- Background:
At least two years of accounting experience specifically within a commercial construction environment, which provides a foundational understanding of industry-specific financial operations. This includes a strong grasp of AIA billing formats and the intricacies of construction contracts, which are vital for accurate project documentation and payment processes. - Experience:
Minimum of two years of work experience, proficiency with Pro Core accounting software, and robust strong billing experience, particularly with owner billings. - Skills:
Possess excellent attention to detail for precise financial record-keeping, strong organizational skills to manage documentation effectively, and robust communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration with project managers and subcontractors. - Bonus: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
