Salary: 115-145K base
About The Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent to support on-site construction operations for K–12 and DSA-regulated commercial projects in the Napa Valley. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented field professional who is looking to grow within a collaborative, quality-driven construction team. You will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with DSA and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Superintendent in daily on-site construction activities
- Assist with scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and trades
- Help ensure compliance with DSA requirements, approved plans, and specifications
- Monitor jobsite safety and support enforcement of site safety programs
- Participate in inspections with DSA inspectors, IORs, and local authorities
- Track daily progress, maintain field documentation, and complete daily reports
- Assist with quality control, punch lists, and closeout activities
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and clients
- 2–5+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably K–12 / DSA projects
- Working knowledge of DSA construction standards and inspection processes
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with basic construction technology (Procore or similar a plus)
- OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site in Napa, CA
