The Estimator role at MTN Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Roseville, CA. This role is responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial waterproofing and building envelope scopes. The Estimator collaborates with project managers, operations teams, and clients to clarify scope, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure accurate and competitive bids.

Daily activities include soliciting and analyzing vendor and subcontractor quotes, updating cost databases, developing proposals, and tracking bid status. The Estimator also supports budgeting, value engineering, and preconstruction planning while maintaining strong documentation and adherence to company safety and quality standards.

• Experience with construction estimating, including reading plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing detailed cost estimates.
• Knowledge of commercial waterproofing, building envelope systems, and related trades (e.g., air barriers, sealants, coatings, and restoration) or willingness to learn these specialties.
• Proficiency with estimating and productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, takeoff software, project management platforms) and strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, field teams, vendors, and clients.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Relevant experience in commercial construction or subcontracting; prior estimating or project engineering experience is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent experience will be considered.
