Position: Central Operations Service Representative

We're hiring for Central Operations Service Representative positions at both Level II and Level III. These roles support all areas of the Central Operations department, ensuring smooth operations while maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Level III Summary

The Level III Representative regularly supports all areas of Central Operations with the ability to perform all department jobs. This role supports management in writing detailed procedures, works on special projects, and promotes superior client relations to both internal and external clients.

Level II Summary

The Level II Representative supports the Central Operations Department by performing a variety of operational duties to ensure smooth departmental operations.

Qualifications:

Level III
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of Central Operations experience in a bank or credit union
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and 10-key
Level II
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Bank Operations experience in a bank or credit union
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and 10-key
  • Act as an escalation point and reinforce superior client service
  • Communicate frequently with other departments and branch employees to resolve issues
  • Identify problem areas within procedures, processes, or workloads
  • May process Regulation E claims, merchant disputes, collection items, order cash and debit cards, ATM balancing, return mail, chargebacks, department certifications, CDARS, mobile deposit, wire transfers, NSF, non-post, stop payments, balance and review remote deposits, process check and ACH returns
  • Provide assistance for consumer and commercial online banking
  • Complete due diligence on inactive accounts and meet State of California deadlines for dormant accounts
  • May serve as central point of contact for all legal processes including Levies and Subpoenas
  • Perform all technical operational areas including ACH receiving/origination, wire transfers, and remote deposit capture
  • Write new operational procedures for the department
  • Provide training within the department as needed
  • Handle special projects, gather data and prepare reports
  • Process online account opening submissions, reviewing risk levels and coordinating with BSA and Compliance
  • Participate in community volunteer activities
  • Respond to moderately complex operational issues for internal and external customers
  • May act as an escalation point
  • Communicate with other departments and branch employees to resolve issues
  • May assist in identifying operational improvements
  • Provide excellent client service to both internal and external clients
  • Assist employees, clients, and vendors with questions related to accounts, procedures, and services
  • May process various operational tasks including Regulation E claims, merchant disputes, ATM balancing, legal process, wire transfers, stop payments, and ACH returns
  • Provide assistance for consumer and commercial online banking
  • May process online account opening submissions
  • Perform routine clerical duties
  • Participate in community volunteer activities
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work effectively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail to minimize risk

Compensation: $20.40-$27.50/hour DOE
