in the role of parks and facility maintenance worker.
the human resources department is accepting applications for the temporary and part-time position of parks and facilities maintenance worker in the parks, recreation & libraries department. The normal work schedule will include evenings and weekends.
candidates will generally work under one of three schedules- seasonal employees typically work up to 1,000 hours during a 5-month seasonal period.
- 1,500-hour employees may work up to 40 hours per week for approximately 9 months, with the possibility of occasional year-round assignments based on department needs.
- 1,000-hour employees usually work up to 25 hours per week for a maximum of 1,000 hours per fiscal year.

possession of a valid california driver’s license by date of appointment.
possession of cpr and first aid certificates within six (6) months of hire.

all candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will have their application scored in a formula rate examination. The applicant’s experience and education will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this evaluation will determine applicant ranking and placement on the employment list. Supplemental questions will be utilized by the department hiring authority to make interview and selection determinations.
