Eaton’s Electrical Services & Systems division is searching for a Lead Power Systems Controls Engineer. This hybrid role requires 25‑50% travel within the region, with a company vehicle and overtime pay. The expected annual salary range is $93,750 – $137,500.

Eaton’s Electrical Services & Systems team offers a comprehensive portfolio of services tailored for every stage of a power system’s life cycle — design, build, or support. Our Power Systems Controls group is a full‑service systems integrator that integrates the necessary equipment and technologies to provide complete power‑automation solutions. We develop and implement control solutions globally.

• Design Power Systems Controls.
• Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human‑Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Design protection relay schemes with or without data concentrators.
• Manage hyper‑scale data center projects: testing, commissioning, and support.
• Support negotiations through consultation, sales calls, and training.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 7 years of power systems controls experience, or a Master’s Degree with at least 4 years of experience.

• Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• No relocation is offered: only candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of specified cities will be considered (exceptions for active‑duty military).

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Experience programming PLCs and interacting directly with customers on technical and deployment aspects.

• Knowledge of automation systems design and power management systems.
• Knowledge of protection relay monitoring and control systems.
• Working knowledge of test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power management systems.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting, test and repair techniques.
• Understanding of the company’s and competitors’ automation and power management services.
• Strong computer literacy: working knowledge of software packages relevant to tasks.
• Knowledge of safety precautions for working with automation and power systems.
• Ability to provide service and represent company interests externally.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Compliance with the company’s safety program.
• Background drug screening compliance.
