Electrical R&D Technician

Responsibilities

Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Electrical R&D Technician in support of our industry leading technology development client in Roseville, CA. Our client is seeking candidates who are driven to make positive changes to the way people live and work by creating breakthrough technology solutions.

Summary:

As an Electrical R&D Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting new product development within the HPE Aruba Networking lab. You will be primarily responsible for designing, constructing, reworking, and testing prototype equipment for electrical systems and components, consistent with engineering and other applicable specifications. Duties:

• Participate with engineering and other applicable specifications
• Setup, run and monitor environment and regulatory system tests
• Help write basic test plans
• Develop and improve technician processes and techniques.
• Work with both co-located and remote teams
• Read and interpret schematics, printouts and specifications for hardware and systems
• Setup test equipment and measure electrical signals
• Solve technical problems with high degree of independent judgment and technical knowledge

Requirements

• The ability to rework and repair SMT PCA's using Metcal and Air pencil tools
• Strong electrical and mechanical reworking skills
• Working knowledge of hardware test equipment, including voltmeter, oscilloscope, pattern generator, logic analyzer
• Strong sense of self-initiative and ability to work independently with minimal guidance from supervisors
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Windows based PCs
• Ability to set up network equipment highly desirable
• Knowledge of environmental and regulatory testing is highly desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
