salary: $47.83 – $67.31 hourly (dependent on experience)
as an associate engineer (pe), you will apply your professional engineer expertise to guide the planning, preliminary design, and management of water, wastewater, solid waste, and recycled water projects. You will apply sound engineering judgment to real-world challenges, ensure conformance to city standards and practices, collaborate with subject matter experts, and help deliver solutions that balance regulatory compliance, reliability, and sustainability.

salary: $45.56 – $64.10 hourly (dependent on experience)
the city of roseville encourages the application of individuals who have the experience necessary to perform the duties of an associate engineer but are still working on obtaining their licensure for professional engineering. Engineers that meet this qualification will be assigned all the duties and responsibilities of an associate engineer under the supervision of a licensed professional. - experience: two years of responsible professional engineering work similar to that of an assistant engineer with the city of roseville.
- training: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major coursework in civil, environmental engineering, or a closely related field.
- license or certificate: possession of a valid california driver’s license by date of appointment. Possession of a current engineer in training (eit) certificate as issued by the state of california is desirable.
- experience: two years of responsible professional engineering work similar to that of an assistant engineer with the city of roseville.
- training: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major coursework in civil, environmental engineering, or a closely related field.
- license or certificate: possession of a valid california driver’s license by date of appointment. Possession of a current certificate of registration as a professional civil engineer in california by date of appointment.
all candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will have their application scored in a formula rate examination. The applicant’s experience and education will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this evaluation will determine applicant ranking and placement on the employment list.
