Principal Engineer – Environmental Utilities Department
We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead, organize and direct engineering activities within the Wastewater Utility Division, providing oversight on wastewater and recycled water system operations, projects, and personnel.
Responsibilities- Lead planning, design, procurement, and construction for capacity expansion and rehabilitation of wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, and pump stations.
- Oversee projects related to recycled water distribution systems, pump stations, and storage facilities.
- Enhance operation, efficiency, reliability, and security of the City's wastewater and recycled water systems.
- Provide engineering and oversight support on a variety of projects and system operations.
- Four years of increasingly responsible experience in professional civil, environmental, or traffic engineering.
- At least two years of supervisory responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil, environmental, traffic engineering or a closely related field.
- Possession of a California driver’s license by the date of appointment.
- Current registration as a Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Traffic Engineer in California.
- Foreign‑educated applicants may provide verification of degree equivalency through an approved U.S. educational credential evaluation agency.
- Monthly salary range: $11,263.15 – $15,093.66.

Regular Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; a flexible schedule may be available. Candidates may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule with supervisor approval and must be able to report to City of Roseville worksites when required.
