Senior Electrical Engineer –
Roseville, CA
. WSP's Property & Buildings Team is hiring an experienced electrical engineer to design, develop, and construct building electrical systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
- Provide advanced technical assistance and guidance for the design, development, and construction of building electrical systems.
- Lead or support electrical engineering design for power distribution, lighting, grounding, life safety, and low‑voltage systems.
- Perform and review electrical calculations (load, equipment sizing, voltage drop, grounding, and system analysis).
- Develop construction documents, specifications, and reports aligned with project and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, architectural, and external stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior engineers and designers; provide QA/QC oversight on project deliverables.
- Assist with project management responsibilities including scope, schedule, and budget tracking for assigned work streams.
- Ensure deliverables meet WSP quality standards and applicable codes, safety, and functionality requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant post‑education experience in electrical design for building systems.
- EIT certification required.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, ICC, IEC).
- Demonstrated ability to lead design tasks and coordinate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, technical writing, and problem‑solving skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with healthcare, commercial, higher education, or science & technology projects.
- Project management experience on small to mid‑size projects.
- Experience with sustainable design and energy‑efficient building systems.

CompensationExpected Salary: $100,800‑$147,000.
