About the Role
WSP is currently searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Roseville, CA office. The role involves participating in projects with our Property & Buildings Team, shaping community infrastructure, and expanding our skylines.
Responsibilities- Provide advanced technical assistance and guidance for the design, development, and construction of building electrical systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
- Lead or support electrical engineering design for power distribution, lighting, grounding, life safety, and low‑voltage systems.
- Perform and review electrical calculations (load, equipment sizing, voltage drop, grounding, and system analysis).
- Develop construction documents, specifications, and reports aligned with project and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, structural, and others, and provide QA/QC oversight on project deliverables.
- Assist with project management responsibilities including scope, schedule, and ensure deliverables meet WSP quality standards and applicable codes and safety.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant post‑education experience in electrical design for building systems.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with healthcare, commercial, higher education, or science & technology projects.
- Project management experience on small to mid‑size projects.
- Experience with sustainable design and energy‑efficient building systems.
