Civil Estimator II

The selected Civil Estimator II will play a key role in winning work in the highly competitive space of environmental remediation projects for clients like USACE and local municipalities. Prior estimating experience on heavy civil projects with extensive earthwork/dirt work scope is required for serious consideration. There are 2 positions available to report out of The Woodlands, TX or Roseville, CA office locations.

• Estimate cost of projects and materials.
• Make recommendations to improve efficiency, and champion software and technology solutions.
• Review progress on projects and adjust schedules as needed.
• Maintain and update database of relevant resources and historical data.
• Keep records of all project details and documentation such as contracts, bids, and correspondence.
• Attend project meetings and site visits as required.
• Solicit material and subcontractor pricing.
• Review finished products to ensure that they meet quality standards.

• 4+ years of heavy civil estimating experience
• Advanced degree preferred, but requirement can be waived with additional years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience working with HCSS
• Working knowledge and proficiency with P6, CAD, and/or AGTEK
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs to determine work requirements
• Ability to demonstrate a successful track record of work bid and won on complex projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines

• Salary $100k-$140k (based on experience)
