General SummaryUnder general supervision, responsible for following Car Max standards for the removal of dents utilizing PDR, cosmetic wheel repairs, glass repair, and a variety of interior cosmetic repairs on vehicles during the reconditioning process. This includes, but is not limited to, fabric, vinyl, leather, plastic, and carpet, as well as dye/color-matching materials.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with team
- Participate in training of new associates with guidance of the Manager
- Perform complex interior repairs to meet Car Max used vehicle standards
- Perform Paintless Dent removal
- Perform cosmetic wheel repairs
- Perform glass repair
- Ensure that vehicles meet Car Max Standards
- Responsible for workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with Car Max standards
- Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
- Complete duties as assigned by Managers
Position requires the following pre-requisites and ability:
- Accountable to Associate 1 Competency Model
- Successfully complete Workstation Certifications
- Read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
- Required to perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Lift objects that weigh as much as 50lbs
- Speak and listen effectively in dealing with customers/associates, both in person and over the phone
- Indoor and outdoor environment; may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions.
- Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time.
- Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, holiday, and can work 12-hour days.
- Wears Car Max clothing (acquired through company) at all times working in the store.
- Follow all Car Max, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, and proper waste disposal in required areas.
- Adhere to all Car Max policies including Attendance, Asset Protection, Integrity and Uniform policies

Rate
$26.00 - $36.50
BenefitsExcept as otherwise required by state law, Car Max Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.
Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:
- To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company.
- For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.
Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.
