I’m currently working on a unique CFO search with a mission-driven organization in the healthcare/nonprofit space, and I’m looking to connect with an experienced financial leader who is ready to make a meaningful impact.
This is a hands-on, strategic CFO role with responsibility for leading the finance function, partnering closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, and serving as a key financial advisor to the Board.
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll step into a leadership role with the opportunity to strengthen and elevate the entire finance function, including:
- Lead and develop a finance team of approximately 10
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting
- Strengthen financial processes, systems, internal controls, and accountability
- Oversee grants, contracts, government funding, compliance, and cost allocation
- Lead the annual audit process and ensure timely follow-through on recommendations
- Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on financial strategy, risk, and resource allocation
- Prepare and present financial information, analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to the Board
- Help drive long-term financial sustainability and organizational growth
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong technical finance expertise and thoughtful executive leadership
, including:
- Significant senior-level finance/accounting leadership experience
- Strong nonprofit and fund accounting experience
- Experience with federal grants and government funding
- Public Law 93-638 / ISDEAA contracting and compliance experience
- Experience managing complex, multi-source funding environments
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, audits, GAAP, and internal controls
- Experience leading, mentoring, and holding a finance team accountable
- The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to executives and Board members
- Strong judgment, transparency, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
$134K–$185K
