Overview
An Inpatient Pharmacist manages medication therapy for hospitalized patients by reviewing, verifying, and dispensing medication orders to ensure safety and efficacy. They work within multidisciplinary teams to monitor patient progress, check for drug interactions, manage IV medications, and provide clinical guidance to physicians and nurses.
Responsibilities- Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure safety and efficacy.
- Monitor patient progress within multidisciplinary teams; check for drug interactions and manage IV medications.
- Provide clinical guidance to physicians and nurses.
- Patient counseling and education.
- Manage medication inventory and ensure compliance with regulations.
- BLS
- RPh
- Inpatient/acute care experience is a MUST
- Every other weekend
Inpatient evening critical care clinical pharmacist 7 on 7 off.
