Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Network Operations Engineer for a Contract with a client in Roseville, CA
. Candidate with extensive hands-on experience across enterprise routing, switching, and security platforms.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Install, configure, and maintain large-scale network infrastructure across routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, and data center environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS), VLANs, STP, and other core network technologies.
- Oversee network monitoring and alerting through tools like Solar Winds, ensuring proactive detection and resolution of infrastructure issues.
- Support DNS management, load balancer configurations, and cloud networking/connectivity across hybrid environments.
- Perform network testing, validation, and documentation while ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and operational procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering, operations, and large-scale infrastructure management.
- Strong hands-on expertise in routing, switching, firewall technologies, and network troubleshooting as required by the client.
- Proficiency with DNS management, load balancers, cloud networking, and enterprise-grade network hardware to meet client expectations.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
