Systems Analyst, Database Administrator, IT Business Analyst, Technical Support
Reporting directly to the Core Systems Manager, the Junior Core Systems Analyst plays a vital role in the operational support of our core banking systems and related ancillary applications. In this in-office position, you will help manage daily core banking functions, resolve technical issues, administer user access, and actively contribute to system enhancements and integrations. WhatYou’ll Do System Operations & Support
- Daily Operations:
Support the day-to-day operations of Fiserv DNA, Q2, and other applications, including batch monitoring and ensuring optimal system performance. - Troubleshooting:
Investigate and resolve moderately complex system, data, and integration issues. - System Administration:
Maintain and manage system configurations, parameter settings, and user access controls. - Incident Management:
Ensure strict adherence to change, incident, and problem management processes. Monitor vendor ticketing systems to guarantee accurate documentation and timely resolution.
- Upgrades & Testing:
Coordinate and support system upgrades, patches, and enhancements. Perform detailed testing (UAT, regression, and performance) and validate results. - Business Analysis:
Analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable system solutions in partnership with the Core Systems Manager. - Integrations & Data:
Support integrations between core and peripheral systems. Develop and maintain reports, queries, and data extracts tailored to business needs. - Process Optimization:
Assist in the automation of workflows and data processes. Identify operational inefficiencies and implement proactive improvements. - Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with IT, business units, and vendors to analyze requirements and provide technical assistance. Clearly communicate system changes and upgrades to internal stakeholders. - Vendor Management:
Monitor vendor performance and escalate unresolved issues as necessary. - Community Reinvestment Act (CRA):
Complete a minimum of 10 volunteer hours per year (typically scheduled during business hours; this is compensable time, and mileage is reimbursed). - General Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned. (
Note:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities).
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience working in banking and with core banking systems.
- Experience with project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is highly preferred.
- Moderate to advanced understanding of core banking systems, databases, and financial applications.
- Basic knowledge of API integrations and the ability to analyze logs and debug issues.
- Hands‑on experience with Fiserv DNA and Q2 systems is strongly preferred but not required.
- Ability to multitask efficiently, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
