  • Contribute to writing, executing, and refining portions of test plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned features and subsystems.
  • Develop, run, and maintain automated test scripts and harnesses in Python; write modular, reusable, and well‑documented test code.
  • Leverage AI models and LLMs to assist test‑case generation, prompt‑driven scenario creation, log parsing/classification, anomaly detection, and test prioritization.
  • Capture and analyze packet traces and system logs (Wireshark, tcpdump); convert findings into clear, reproducible bug reports and verification steps.
  • Design and execute security‑aware test scenarios to validate encryption, authentication, access controls, and threat‑informed behavior.
  • Execute functional, performance, interoperability, regression, and reliability tests in physical and virtual lab environments.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, product teams, and outsourced partners to reproduce issues, coordinate fixes, and improve coverage.
  • Help maintain test environment configurations, version control for test code, and CI/CD integration for automated runs.
  • Share knowledge with teammates, assist onboarding of new/less‑experienced staff, and learn mentoring techniques through pairing.
About You
  • Recent graduate (BS/MS) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Security, or related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of networking principles and a desire to grow skills in campus and data‑center deployment concepts.
  • Comfortable programming in Python with an emphasis on automation, clean code, and basic data structures.
  • Interest or practical coursework in AI/ML tools (LLMs, pretrained models) and eagerness to apply AI to testing workflows and prompt engineering.
  • Basic cybersecurity awareness and motivation to include secure configuration and threat‑informed checks in testing.
  • Curious, proactive, collaborative, and able to communicate technical findings clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Willingness to work hands‑on in lab environments with physical and virtual network devices.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation; familiarity with pytest or similar frameworks, and version control (Git).
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols: TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, NAT, DHCP, DNS; exposure to VxLAN/EVPN/MPLS is a plus.
  • Practical exposure to AI models/LLMs for tasks like log analysis, test‑case generation, classification, or NLP‑based documentation.
  • Ability to collect and analyze packet captures and logs (Wireshark, tcpdump) for troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions) and test automation best practices.
  • Basic understanding of security testing concepts: firewall behaviors (DMZ, SNAT/DNAT), encryption/authentication validation, and threat‑informed testing approaches.
  • Exposure to virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) and network emulation/simulation tools (GNS3, Mininet, EVE‑NG) is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a drive to evolve automation and AI‑assisted testing workflows.
