As Hospital Manager, you will be an essential part of the leadership team, working closely with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure efficient and profitable hospital operations. You will drive revenue growth, manage expenses, and cultivate a culture centered around exceptional patient care and client service.
This role requires strong on-site leadership presence, as regular in-person interaction with clients and team members is fundamental to success.
Responsibilities- Full ownership of P&L, accountable for hospital performance
- Partner with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast hospital needs
- Manage accounts receivable
- Oversee inventory management and control facility and administrative costs
- Manage payroll for hospital staff
- Develop team schedules and actively manage labor costs
- Champion positive change and promote best practices
- Lead process improvement across client service, operations, and administrative workflows
- Implement new technologies and initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Establish and foster a positive, collaborative hospital culture
Track and maintain current licensure for all DVMs - Provide coaching, feedback, and manage challenging conversations professionally
- Demonstrate and reinforce exceptional client service standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong background in customer service
- Experience in a veterinary hospital, healthcare, retail, or service-based industry with increasing responsibility preferred
- Financial acumen and comfort managing budgets and performance metrics
- $75,000 – $90,000 Annual Salary (commensurate with experience)
