Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the ANS Program Manager, the Cafeteria Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the campus cafeteria, including the preparation and service of balanced meals that meet National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program requirements. The position oversees daily kitchen operations, food ordering, inventory control, record‑keeping, equipment maintenance, and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
The Cafeteria Manager supervises and trains Cafeteria Leads and Assistants, develops staff schedules, ensures completion of required Professional Standards training, and maintains accurate production and compliance documentation. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, collaboration with administrators, staff, scholars, and vendors, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Physical requirements include prolonged standing and walking, bending, twisting, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds, as well as safely operating commercial kitchen and standard office equipment.
