We are currently looking fora Shop Technician to join our growing team! The Shop Technician is responsible for following plans and cut sheets to create metal parts through operating the shear and brake and/or assembling ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panels according to company protocols, quality standards, and package for shipment.

• Experience in a warehouse/shop environment
• Experience in sheet metal strongly preferred

• Set up and operate company equipment, machines, and tools according to company safety standards.
• Perform regular maintenance on machinery, equipment and tools per company procedures and safety standards. Report all issues to management for repairs.
• Inspect, repair and quality test small engine, power, and hand tools per company procedure and as needed.
• Read cut sheets and verify material, measurements, and part types required for project.
• Program machinery with correct measurements, angles, and color side following company procedures.
• Double check design specifications and measurements before cutting.
• Adjust shear according to measurements of verified stretch out.
• Construct templates or mock-ups, as needed.
• Use applicable equipment and machinery to accurately size extruded aluminum clips.
• Cut accessory parts,asneeded.
• Accurately read and follow detail sheet, ensuring all tasks are marked as complete.
• Ensure quality control through checks and balances and adhering to industry and company standards and procedures.
• Stack, label, package parts and stage in the appropriate racking for pick up.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by putting away tools and equipment at the end of the day,sweep debris, properlydisposeofand store chemicals; notify management of any potential issues.
• Operate a forklift, if needed. (Maintain proper certification as required.)

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  
  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  
  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  
  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
