Travel RN - Acute Dialysis

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a PICC/Vascular Access position in California requiring 2 years of PICC experience and a current CA RN license.

Job Details

• Work in an adult inpatient setting with a focus on vascular access,

• Required to work every other weekend,

• Day shifts of 4x10 hours, with start times at 7:00 or 10:00,

• May work in the Emergency Department as needed,

• Vascular access procedures include insertion, patency assessment, site assessment, device stabilization, dressing changes, catheter removal, flushing, and troubleshooting,

• Utilizes ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access and tip placement confirmation via chest X-ray and IC-ECG,

• Epic charting experience is preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross),

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICC RN experience,

• Completion of 7-year work history verification is required,

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing,

• References from two supervisors obtained within the past year are required,

Additional Information

• Responsible for the management of vascular access devices, including insertion and maintenance,

• Uses aseptic technique for all vascular access procedures,

• Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty,

• Only one holiday request off will be approved,

• Return staff policy requires a one-year gap before returning as a traveler,

• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility,

• Locals are accepted with an adjusted pay rate,

• Scrubs or dress code requirements will be specified during onboarding,
