American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with high-risk L&D and antepartum expertise for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring a CA RN license.
Details- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with high-risk antepartum and triage responsibilities
- Facility averages over 150 births per month
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend work expectation
- Float to postpartum unit required as needed
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses Epic and CPN/QS charting systems
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Fetal Heart Monitoring certification at Intermediate or Advanced level
- AWHONN certification at minimum Beginner level (Intermediate or Advanced also accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience, with most recent experience within the last 6 months
- Community hospital experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience circulating in the OR for C-sections
- Experience with high-risk delivery, newborn/infant care, and obstetric triage
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and newborn stages
- Responsibilities include fetal monitoring, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, and circulating for C-sections
- Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, and thermoregulation care
- Support postpartum patients including couplet care and hemorrhage management
- Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
- Teaching hospital and trauma level experience preferred
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
