PositionSummary
The Residential Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for general plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Responsibilities- Minimum of 2-4 years of maintenance experience.
- Ability to perform professional levels of maintenance services, such as plumbing, electrical, appliances, heating and air-conditioning, and general construction.
- Use of simple tools such as paint brushes, rollers, spray equipment, ladders, solvents, cleaners, tape, and coverings, as well as power tools such as snakes, jack hammers, electrical test devices, grinders, drills, saws, and motor/electrical vehicles.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion for helping others.
- Flexibility with schedule and participation in an on-call rotation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands‑on experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent.
- Proficiency with tools and power equipment, including drills, saws, grinders, electrical testers, HVAC systems, and plumbing tools.
- EPA Section 608 Certified HVAC Technician and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities to quickly assess and resolve maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, team members, and vendors effectively.
- Passion for delivering exceptional service to residents and creating a positive living experience.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and participate in an on-call rotation to handle apartment maintenance emergencies.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, reaching.
- Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
- Hourly wage based on relevant experience to the role. Full‑time hours.
- Eligible for renewal commissions and quarterly bonuses based on meeting KPIs.
