PositionExperienced HVAC Technician – servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell tower sites. The role is regional; candidates must reside in the Sacramento, California area.
Core Responsibilities- Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or replace components of cooling systems.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
- Respond to service calls promptly, including emergency call‑out services.
- Complete daily work reports accurately and timely.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per PEARCE guidelines and insurance requirements.
- Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (required).
- 3+ years of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
- Willingness to travel extensively within an independent work structure; occasional overnight stays (company pays all travel costs and provides per diem).
- Must pass a Department of Transportation physical.
- Must comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA safety standards.
- Residence in Sacramento, California.
- Extensive daily travel to remote work sites.
- Exposure to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
$30.00‑$38.00 hourly, DOE. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, a company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.
