Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a group of firmware engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Participate in the design and development of secure boot and security firmware.
- Serve as a member of the firmware team in architecture and design reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software problems in embedded real‑time systems.
- Generate comprehensive engineering documentation.
- BS/MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of embedded system development and verification experience.
- Strong C, C++ and Python programming skills and product development experience.
- Strong background in software methodology and full‑cycle development (design, implementation, testing, and debugging).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the computer storage industry, especially with PCIe/NVMe protocols.
- ARM architecture knowledge.
- Knowledge of Rust and memory‑safe programming.
- Knowledge of Caliptra Open‑Source Root‑of‑Trust technologies.
- Familiarity with hardware & software co‑verification/emulation platforms such as Cadence Palladium and Protium, bus/logic analyzers and PCIe exercisers.
- Source code management (Git, Perforce, etc.).
- Agile Scrum development methodology.
- Dev Ops and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Secure Development Life Cycle and methodology.
- JIRA project management software.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
- Familiarity with Linux environment (device drivers, shell scripting, etc.).

Pay RangeAnnual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the U.S., is $91,000 - $232,000. The range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
