- Program duration: approximately 9–12 months, starting on the first of the month.
- Location:
daily commute to the specified city/state; relocation may be required after completion of the program. - Authorization: you must be legally authorized to work in the USA;

- Pay: $25.00 per hour with an average annual compensation of $55,000 (including OT).

This position is designed to provide valuable experience to launch your career with Penske. The training program prepares you to oversee logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch, documentation, and procedure control. You will gain hands-on experience managing driver deliveries, loading/unloading trailers, cross docking, and customer service operations aligned with company services and cost objectives. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to lead a small team of hourly associates in a dedicated contract carriage operation.
Responsibilities- Ensure that all associates are motivated, engaged, trained, and competent and understand how their work relates to customers' business objectives.
- Foster a safe work environment by complying with and administering established safety and operational procedures.
- Understand location-specific customer goals and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily.
- Effectively resolve issues and monitor day-to-day operations for compliance using organizational and time management skills.
- Learn the Kaizen methodology and implement Lean processes.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in work methods to increase productivity of dispatch operations.
- Plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet and equipment.
- Bachelor’s Degree required (in Business, Supply Chain, Data Science/Analytics, or related field is a plus).
- Proven leadership through school, community, clubs/organizations, or military service.
- Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship for employment visas is not available.
- Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and navigate various technology platforms.
- Commitment to learning, growth, and receptiveness to feedback.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to relocate for business needs following program completion.
- Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
- Willingness to travel as necessary and to complete Penske employment processes (background check, drug screening).
- Read, communicate verbally and in writing, remember and analyze information, and follow instructions.
- May be required to stand, walk, and sit; frequently use hands to handle and feel; may lift up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
- Specific vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
