A therapist is a clinical role responsible for providing Multisystemic Therapy to youth involved in the juvenile justice system. CARE will provide training on the evidenced based model to provide in home and community based support in partnership with the court.
Responsibilities- Maintain a caseload and deliver services.
- Demonstrate skill to provide clinical services to justice involved youth.
- Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans that are developed with a Person-centered/Family-centered philosophy.
- Plans and administers therapeutic MST interventions utilizing cognitive behavior techniques, motivational interviewing, and a blending of other evidenced-based practices to assist the person served in managing symptoms and meeting their treatment goals.
- Responsible for the identification of treatment referrals/resources within the community appropriate to meeting the needs of the individuals served.
- Conducts self with proper decorum in court and in interaction with community partners.
- Confirms documentation meets clinical standards prior to sending to court.
- A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or other related and applicable degree.
- Prefer one or more years experience providing individual/group therapy with youth.
- Must possess active status, with licensure or certification in accordance to the professional field required by that governing body (LLMSW, LMSW, LPC, etc.).
- Must complete the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) training or already have proof of completion.
