Position Summary:
As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you’ll do:
Be a Team Leader supervising the team in Produce and Floral to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club; communicate departmental goals while executing company programs and advocating for the member, associate, and company; work collaboratively with other team leaders; maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations and ensure the produce area meets quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance standards;
manage seasonality in terms of item volume, product knowledge, processes, and time prioritization between areas; collaborate with associates, share resources, knowledge, and train the team; leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve the shopping experience and associate engagement; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, product quality, and new tool adoption; drive business results with operational excellence, profitability, a clean and safe environment, adequate staffing, audit accuracy, and merchandise layout compliance;
coach and train the team to high effectiveness; identify potential in others; provide necessary skills for high‑quality products; encourage career growth; source new talent internally and externally; develop, communicate, and implement processes in collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyze and apply information from multiple sources; monitor progress, results, and improvement opportunities; promote compliance with company policies and ethical standards;
and model integrity, humility, honesty, fairness, and transparency while supporting Walmart’s regenerative goals.

Hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00*.
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications- Six months of experience working in a fresh production department or six months supervising a team.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to complete all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period.
- Experience supervising a team.
- Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
