The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for minimizing production down time by performing
preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing and production equipment.
This includes a diverse range of production machinery, from basic mechanical systems to complex
computer-controlled systems.
Core Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on all mechanical, electrical, and automated systems to prevent unscheduled downtime
- Ensure that machines and equipment are properly aligned and/or calibrated as required
- Respond to and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, diagnosing the root cause of malfunctions using a combination of observation, technical manuals, and advanced diagnostic tools
- Complete repairs on machines and equipment when appropriate, escalating complex or advanced issues to the appropriate parties when necessary
- Dismantle machinery to remove defective parts and replace them with new ones using standard tools such as hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and multimeters
- Maintain CNC machines and use ladder logic processes to properly diagnose and repair faults of
- Work with advanced control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), to troubleshoot and debug automation sequences
- Assist Engineers and Installation Technicians with initial set up and relocation manufacturing equipment
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs performed, and parts used
- May occasionally train, mentor, and provide guidance to less experienced team members
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed safely and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

- Attention to Detail – Maintains cleanliness, organization, and accuracy in tooling support tasks
- Team Collaboration – Works effectively with die makers, technicians, and supervisors
- Work Ethic & Reliability – Demonstrates dependability, initiative, and responsiveness in a fastpaced environment
- Communication – Listens and follows instructions with clarity and professionalism
- Physical Dexterity – Capable of lifting, moving, and positioning heavy tooling components
- Continuous Learning – Open to training and development in die shop practices and tooling
- Equipment and machinery are maintained in a reliable operating condition to support uninterrupted production
- Preventive and routine maintenance activities are completed consistently to reduce the likelihood of breakdowns
- Equipment issues are diagnosed and resolved in a timely and effective manner
- Root causes of recurring problems are identified and addressed to improve long-term reliability
- Maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with all company policies and regulations
- Accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities are maintained
- Production teams are supported through responsive troubleshooting and technical assistance
- Equipment, performance and efficiency are continuously improved through proactive maintenance practices
- Effective communication and collaboration are maintained with team members, engineers, and
- Work areas, tools, and equipment are kept organized and in good working condition
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant certifications or technical training in industrial maintenance is a plus
- 2-3 years of experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing
- Industrial equipment and safety practices
- Electrical, Hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
- Knowledge of Siemens and/or Fanuc CNC Controls
- Troubleshooting or basic root cause analysis
- The following knowledge and skills are essential to the role:
- Knowledge of controls hardware design and configuration
- Equipment rigging experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Ability to adapt and learn new technologies, staying current with evolving company and industry advancements
- Effectively communicates with team members, engineers, cell specialist, and all levels of management
- Good time-management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends to address unexpected maintenance issues
- Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy.
