Senior Project Accountant

We’ve partnered with a leading commercial renovation firm that specializes in large-scale service and repair projects across Florida. They’re seeking a Senior Project Accountant who will work closely with project managers and field teams to track project financials, manage compliance, and improve reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Set up and maintain accurate job costing records for ongoing projects

Handle WIP reporting, AIA billing, change orders, and subcontractor compliance

Monitor budget-to-actuals, track purchase orders, and help close out jobs

Ensure insurance certificates and contract documentation are up-to-date

Assist with month-end journal entries, audit prep, and financial packages

Collaborate with PMs across multiple locations to ensure smooth project billing and cost control

Qualifications:

5+ years of accounting experience; 3+ in project/job-based roles

Strong knowledge of GAAP, WIP, job costing, and revenue recognition

Background in construction, specialty trades, or field service preferred

Proficient with Excel and systems like Net Suite, Sage, Quick Books, or similar

Comfortable supporting teams across locations; strong attention to detail
