Your responsibilities will include tracking and analyzing state and federal legislation, regulations, and codes to assess their impact on utility operations. You will develop formal advocacy positions and draft written correspondence to influence legislative and regulatory action. Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with coalition partners and community organizations will be essential.
You will provide regular legislative and regulatory briefings, acting as a spokesperson to both internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring that enacted laws and regulations are effectively integrated into departmental operations, you will close the loop between new policy and compliance obligations, while collaborating with various business units across the utility. Additionally, you will organize and execute utility tours, advocacy trips, and educational workshops to further the department’s advocacy efforts.

minimum qualifications electric business analyst iexperience
: one year of responsible experience performing duties similar to an associate electric analyst with the city of roseville or one year of independent, journey-level experience performing professional duties that included energy analysis, business case analysis, financial analysis, econometric analysis, database management, or engineering analysis.

training
: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major course work in business administration, public administration, accounting, computer science, economics, mathematics or a related field.

license and certificate
: possession of a valid california driver’s license by date of appointment.
