Superintendent, Data Centre - Project & Construction Management Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent specializing in Data Centre Project & Construction Management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of data centre construction projects, from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in managing large-scale construction projects, a strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, and a commitment to delivering excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of data centre construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues or delays.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Resolve any conflicts or challenges that arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and project records.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent in construction management, with a focus on data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • In-depth understanding of safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications in construction management or project management are a plus.
Day-to-Day
  • Lead daily site meetings to coordinate activities and address any immediate concerns.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure seamless communication.
  • Conduct safety audits and enforce compliance with safety protocols.
  • Review and approve work completed by subcontractors and vendors.
  • Address and resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly.
  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the site is organized, clean, and operating efficiently.
