Get paid for helping lower people’s electric bills. Aurum is hiring Community Energy Advocates to work directly with Minnesota residents who may qualify for savings through an income-qualified energy program. You’ll spend your time in local neighborhoods and at community events, educating residents about the program, determining eligibility, and helping qualified households enroll. What You’ll Do

• Engage with residents door-to-door and at community events
• Educate Xcel Energy customers about community energy savings
• Help residents determine whether they qualify
• Assist eligible households through the enrollment process
• Follow up with interested residents when needed
• Represent Aurum professionally in the communities we serve

What We’re Looking For This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to get into outside sales without actually having to sell anything. You don’t need experience. We’re looking for people who are:

• Comfortable meeting and talking with new people
• Motivated and self-driven
• Dependable and coachable
• Comfortable working in the field
• Interested in community outreach and helping people
• Able to work weekends
• Equipped with reliable transportation and a smartphone

Experience in community outreach, canvassing, customer service, social services, fundraising, retail, or face-to-face sales is helpful, but not required. Schedule Wednesday–Sunday Monday and Tuesday off. The position includes neighborhood outreach as well as community events. We provide training, weekly team development and dinner, assigned outreach areas, event opportunities, enrollment support, and tablets when needed.
