At Parkview Center School, our paraprofessionals are an essential part of our students' success. We are seeking a Special Education Setting III Paraprofessional to join our STAR program supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs. Working alongside licensed special education teachers and a supportive team, you'll help students build independence, confidence, and the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Responsibilities include providing classroom support, implementing individualized student strategies under the direction of licensed staff, and supervising students during lunch and recess. This position is 7 hours per day beginning September 1, 2026.
Special education paraprofessionals must possess 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of study from an institution of higher education or an AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, OR must provide a passing score on the MN Para Pro Test or Para Educator Assessment. The test is paid for at the employee's expense.
Starting salary range is $17.95 - $20.25 per hour, plus a district contribution toward insurance. Special education paraprofessionals also have the opportunity for an additional $2.00 per hour for completing free online Special Education Training.
