The licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction aligned to the state standards to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows state-mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students; collaborates with general education staff; communicates regularly with parents/guardians; schedules students and paraprofessionals; and supervises paraprofessionals.
This position includes case management of federal setting I-III students with ASD as well as teaching the following courses:
Social Skills/Social Skills for Work, Academic Seminar, College and Career Seminar and Health Essentials in Special Education plus Career Seminar in General Education.
A MN Teaching License in Special Education is required. ASD preferred.
CompensationMinimum full year, full time starting salary is $53,085, plus a generous benefits package.
