Overview
Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking an Audio/Video & Building Technology Specialist to join their team. The Audio/Video and Building Technology Specialist is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of integrated audio/visual systems and building technology solutions. This role ensures reliable operation of presentation, conferencing, control, and smart building systems across facilities, supporting end users with both technical expertise and customer‑focused service.
Location& Travel
The Audio/Video & Building Technology Specialist will office out of Roseville, MN and require travel between PHS communities.
Reporting StructureThis position reports to the Director of Information Technology.
ResponsibilitiesThe Audio/Video & Building Technology Specialist is responsible for delivering PHS‑wide support and service for audio/visual (A/V) and building technology systems as part of the IT Operations team within PHS IT. This role ensures reliable, high‑quality A/V experiences and building technology functionality across Presbyterian Homes and Services, supporting business operations, resident services, and staff collaboration.
- Provide support and service delivery for End User Services team within PHS IT across Presbyterian Homes and Services.
- Partner with PHS leadership, regional operations, and site leaders to gather requirements and design, build, test, deploy, and enhance IT Operations solutions and systems.
- Collaborate with site leaders, cable TV providers, vendors, and consultants to support, maintain, and upgrade Audio/Video, Building Technology, and Security systems.
- Ensure IT Operations meets established Service Level Agreements, including response and resolution time expectations.
- 2‑year technical degree or comparable work experience.
- Experience supporting various Audio/Video & Building Technologies including channel insertion, Q[1]Sys and RTI Controls, digital signage, video conferencing technologies (MS Teams), audio/video signal distribution, streaming platforms, access control systems (Lenel
S2), CCTV systems (Milestone). - Knowledge of AV technologies, computer technologies, computer networking, troubleshooting skills, access control, security systems and trends in technology.
- In‑depth technical understanding and demonstrated capability of one or more of the following: AV connected conference rooms; larger community room/chapel sound systems with video integration; channel insertion/cable TV distribution; building security systems.
- Self‑starter with interest in researching industry trends.
- Attention to detail and ability to solve problems quickly and see them through until completion.
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects. Ability to independently manage and prioritize workload.
- Excellent customer interaction and communication skills. Ability to work with customers and colleagues in a professional manner during stressful situations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport self between PHS communities.
- Ability to maintain job performance and efficiency while remaining in compliance with policies and established procedures.
- Ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing 25‑30 lbs with occasional lifts of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $55,723 to $76,624 yearly. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
