We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead, support, and improve production processes within our precision sheet-metal fabrication facilities. This role will focus on optimizing laser cutting operations, programming, tooling, and manufacturability, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

- Provide technical support for fabrication processes including laser cutting, forming, welding, assembly, and finishing
- Implement process improvements to reduce scrap, increase throughput, and ensure product quality
- Develop work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Support new product introductions and production ramps
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
- Work closely with machine operators to optimize daily performance and troubleshoot issues
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot Mitsubishi fiber laser systems using Accufab and Ncell
- Develop and maintain laser cut programs, nesting strategies, and machine parameters for high throughput and quality
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D production drawings in Solid Works
- Support DFM/DFA in collaboration with engineering, quality, and production teams
- 5–10 years hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in metals fabrication, metals stamping, or similar environment
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes: laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, finishing
- Proven history of implementing process improvements and supporting production teams
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation
- Expert-level Solid Works experience (parts, assemblies, drawings, sheet-metal modules
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced shop-floor environment
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering or a related study
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with GD&T and precision fabrication tolerances
- Proficiency with Mitsubishi fiber laser systems and nesting/programming software (
Accufab, Ncell
) - Experience in contract manufacturing in the sheet metal industry highly preferred
