This is a steady, practical role in a clean, temperature-controlled studio where you ll learn a valuable trade and help produce premium lighting and hardware products our customers love.

- Prepare parts for coating including cleaning/degreasing, masking, plugging, and staging
- Rack and hang parts to support consistent coverage and clean finishes
- Learn to batch powder coat small machined parts in a variety of colors and gloss levels
- Learn to operate electrostatic spray guns and adjust settings to achieve target finish quality
- Cure parts using batch oven according to time and temperature specifications
- Wear respirator and required PPE; work safely around coating, cleaning, and stripping chemicals
- Inspect parts for coverage, adhesion, and finish quality; learn to identify defects including orange peel, fisheye, contamination, thin coverage, and color inconsistency
- Learn to troubleshoot and adjust approach in response to quality issues
- Maintain and regularly clean/strip parts, tools, hooks, racking, booth, and equipment
- Use common hand tools including pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and drills as needed
- Coordinate with the team to organize orders and meet lead times
- Maintain basic production records and a clean, organized work area
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No powder coating experience required — we will train the right person
- Hands-on experience in a shop, manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, painting/finishing, or similar environment is a plus
- Motivated to develop a skilled trade and take pride in consistent, careful work
- Asks questions and speaks up when something looks off rather than guessing
- Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination
- Reliable, punctual, and communicates clearly with teammates and leads
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Comfortable wearing a respirator and required PPE and working around cleaning and stripping chemicals
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
