Location:

Roseville, Little Canada, Vadnais Heights, MN (Suite Living communities)

Schedule:

Full-Time | 40 hours per week

Compensation: $25.00/hour

Position Overview

The Hospice Aide (CNA) is a valued member of the interdisciplinary hospice team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. In this role, you will provide hands‑on personal care, support patient comfort, and help create a peaceful, respectful environment for individuals at the end of life.

This position is ideal for a CNA who is compassionate, dependable, and comfortable providing care in a hospice setting.

What You'll Do Direct Patient Care
  • Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral care, toileting, dressing, and skin care
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and range‑of‑motion exercises
  • Support with feeding and hydration, including meal preparation as needed
  • Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
Clinical Support & Observation
  • Take and document vital signs as directed
  • Observe patient condition and report changes promptly to the RN Case Manager
  • Monitor skin integrity and help prevent breakdown
  • Accurately document care in accordance with agency standards
Family & Emotional Support
  • Communicate with empathy, professionalism, and respect
  • Support family members and caregivers, including providing short‑term respite
  • Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times
Teamwork & Compliance
  • Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
  • Follow all hospice regulations, policies, and scope‑of‑practice guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Minnesota
  • Current CPR certification
  • Previous hospice, home health, or senior care experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of hospice philosophy and end‑of‑life care
  • Compassionate, patient‑centered approach with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
