The Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker helps to ensure all aspects of general maintenance in the parks system are completed in a timely and efficient manner through performing manual maintenance labor of parks, trails, forestry, facilities and equipment within the City.
Schedules- Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Thursday – Monday from 7:00am – 3:30pm (Weekends)

Responsibilities- Helps ensure the safety of patrons and fellow staff members.
- Assist in all aspects of turf maintenance operations including but not limited to mowing, trimming, weeding, watering and other turf duties as assigned.
- Assists on special projects and turf cultural practices: aeration, seeding and tree removal/pruning.
- Performs general cleaning including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping and trash removal.
- Grooming ball fields.
- Assists with special event preparation.
- Assists with maintaining equipment.
- Continually shows respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and interests. Exhibits sensitivity to the needs of diverse audiences in all duties performed on behalf of the City to support Roseville in building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment and community.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Is able to communicate orally and in writing and understands, follows, and transmits written and oral instructions.
- Some experience with grounds maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in applicable work hazards and safety precautions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, humid, hot, or cold conditions. With appropriate safety equipment, the employee may perform duties involving fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
The employee must frequently (up to 70% of the time) lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally (less than 15% of the time) lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Approximately 45 - 70% of the time, work is performed at a high level of detail or pressure of deadlines and approximately 30-50% of the work is performed outside.
