Counter Sales Associate (Open) – Roseville, MN – Industrial

Hourly Pay: $24/hr-$26/hr | Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

We are hiring a Counter Sales Associate to balance high‑energy customer interaction with operational support in a dynamic industrial environment. The role involves serving customers with industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies, advising on tools, hardware, and materials, and ensuring safety compliance.

• Adhere to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external partners, fostering long‑term relationships.
• Accurately complete required paperwork, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Partner with customers to identify the best tools and procedures; demonstrate equipment use to build confidence.
• Manage order entry and process transactions; assist the team with deposit reconciliation.
• Coordinate via phone, e‑mail, and in person to provide information on costs and delivery.
• Contribute to an outgoing call strategy to support branch growth.
• Coordinate merchandise transfer between locations to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere through supportive communication with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Stock shelves and maintain showroom displays to enhance customer experience.
• Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (or equivalent education/life experience).
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
• Attention to detail in handling transactions.
• Availability for occasional overtime.
• Ability to operate in a drug‑free workplace.

• Background in gas, welding, or safety supplies.
• Familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office applications.
• Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
• Clear and warm communication with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.
