As a Fragrance Sales Associate, you create a warm, welcoming environment through genuine hospitality and exceptional customer service. You engage customers with personalized fragrance recommendations that reflect their style, mood, and preferences, making them feel confident, valued, and inspired. You demonstrate and sell a wide range of fragrances and related beauty products while educating customers on notes, layering techniques, and usage.
You contribute to a seamless shopping experience by fostering meaningful connections, anticipating needs, and delivering service with care.
- Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact. Wear your name badge with pride, greet teammates, and help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers. Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top‑selling items, and stay up to date on current trends and promotions.
- On the floor, focus on the customer by offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations to build customer relationships.
- Maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages, testing items, returning merchandise to vendors, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
- Finish the day strong by sharing Loyalty program benefits, ensuring customers have everything they need, and ending with a sincere thank‑you, often walking the package around and using the customer’s name.
- Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
- Strive for excellence by improving every day, taking pride in work, achieving sales goals, and learning from one another to deliver individual and store results.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to:
- Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
- Engage customers with warmth and expertise by acknowledging them promptly, assessing their preferences, demonstrating fragrances, and offering tailored product recommendations.
- Drive sales and loyalty by using clienteling tools to build lasting relationships, promote new launches and events, and collaborate across the Beauty team.
- Maintain a polished and efficient environment through accurate merchandising, inventory upkeep, hygiene and compliance standards, and effective use of point‑of‑sale and mobile selling technology.
- Communicate and collaborate with customers and colleagues comfortably.
- Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized and shoppable space, leveraging clienteling tools to promote offers and product launches, participating in sales events, and staying up to date through ongoing training and vendor education.
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
- Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service.
- Effectively use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
- Have at least one year of customer service or selling experience.
Physical Requirements You Will Perform
- Talk, lift, constantly move, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, reach, including above eye level.
