Mobile Vehicle Technician - East Midlands

Role Overview

RAC is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. You will work from a fully equipped van to deliver planned, structured repair and servicing directly to members at their driveways or workplace car parks. The role offers a stable 40‑hour week with core hours 8:30am to 5:00pm and one Saturday in every four.

• Carry out routine servicing according to RAC standards
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• Complete in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop
• Advise members and give recommendations based on inspection
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

• Earnings
  :
  Competitive base salary of £40,170 with potential to reach £52,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime. Option to opt into guaranteed overtime after the first month.
